Planck impedance

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Planck impedance is the unit of electrical resistance, denoted by ZP, in the system of natural units known as Planck units.

Z_P = \frac{V_P}{I_P} = \frac{1}{4 \pi \epsilon_0 c} = \frac{Z_0}{4 \pi} \approx 29.9792458 Ω

where

VP is the Planck voltage

IP is the Planck current

c is the speed of light in a vacuum

ε0 is the permittivity of free space

Z0 is the impedance of free space
