Plamen Getov

Plamen Getov (Bulgarian: Пламен Гетов) (born 4 March 1959) is a former Bulgarian footballer and Bulgaria international.
A native of Pleven, Getov played as a forward for Spartak Varna, FC Beloslav, Spartak Pleven, CSKA Sofia, Etar Veliko Tarnovo, Levski Sofia, PFC Shumen, PFC Cherno More Varna and in Portugal with Portimonense S.C. and G.D. Chaves. He won the top Bulgarian league, the A PFG, twice: with CSKA Sofia in 1989 and with Levski Sofia in 1993.
Proclaimed the best player of the 1992–1993 season, Getov has a total of 286 matches and 165 goals in the A PFG (of which 108 for Spartak Pleven). He was the top scorer of the 1985 championship (with 26 goals for Spartak Pleven) and the 1993 championship (with 26 goals for Levski Sofia).
For the national team, Getov has 26 appearances and four goals. He played four matches at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, scoring a goal against South Korea in a 1–1 draw.
Getov is known as a particularly skilful free kick taker, having scored numerous goals directly from different positions.
