The Plain Softtail (Thripophaga fusciceps) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical swamps.
