Placostylus ambagiosus worthyi was a subspecies of very large, air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Bulimulidae, the bulimulus snails and their allies.
This subspecies is extinct.

This subspecies was endemic to Cape Maria van Diemen in Northland in the North Island of New Zealand.

This snail is found only as a subfossil weathering out of consolidated sand dunes.
[edit] Shell description
Compared with the other Placostylus ambagiosus subspecies, this shell is the smallest. It is elongate-ovoid, with only the basal lip tubercle well developed.
The shell height is up to 75 mm, and width up to 29 mm.
