Place Rosemère

Place Rosemère is a super regional mall in Rosemère, Quebec, at the intersection of Quebec Autoroute 640 and Boulevard Curé-Labelle, and only one mile away from Quebec Autoroute 15. Its anchor stores are Wal-Mart, Sears, The Bay, Zara, and Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart). It also has 215 stores, including a food court of 10 restaurants.
Place Rosemère began modestly when it first opened in 1975 with 65 stores, anchored by Woolco, Canadian Tire, and Provigo. Woolco has since been acquired by Wal-Mart.
A first expansion, opened in 1991, relocated the Canadian Tire store into the new section, along with the newly-opened The Bay store. This expansion brought the mall to 150 stores. Another expansion, opened in 2001, brought the mall to its current size and layout as Wal-Mart moved to a new location in the mall's expansion and Sears moved into the old Wal-Mart store. This expansion coincided with the closing of two other anchor stores when Canadian Tire moved to a stand-alone location across the street and Provigo, one of the last supermarkets to be located in a Canadian regional mall, closed its doors. The old Canadian Tire store has been subdivided into small shops, and the old Provigo store is now divided between Zara and Pharmaprix.[1]
