Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article List of poets may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers. On Wikipedia, all users are entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable, with reference to reliable published sources. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. --Nlu (talk) 17:26, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, Pjt48, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

Per your request at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Humanities, I moved the article you're working on to Robert Peters and gave it a category. The help desk is probably a better place to ask questions than the reference desk, but since I was reading the reference desk, I decided to answer your question anyway. Feel free to continue editing Robert Peters. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 16:06, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks so much Elkman for your remarkable expediency in lending me a helping hand in getting by article suitable and formatted. I admire your dedication as a Wikipedian. I find my exploration of the Wikipedia fascinating but daunting Pjt48 01:30, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Pjt48 13:59, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Plymell Article

Hi Pjt48. Thank you for your message and contributions to Wikipedia. The reason that it looked weird on the page was that spaces has been left at the beginning of the line. For some reason which I am not sure of, it makes it look weird. I have removed the section though for several reasons explained in my edit summery. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks, Tiddly-Tom 19:05, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Charles Gilman Norris

Hey Tom-- I'm trying to clean & wikify more this Norris article. What I can't seem to rid of are the boxed forms that some of the sections have-- I appreciate your professional assistance Pjt48 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 17:24, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi again. Thank you for your kind message to my user talk page ;) I have fixed those weird blue dotted boxes. The reason for their emergence was that before the star, there were a number of space. To rectify the problem, I remove the spaces. If you have any more problems, feel free to contact me. As you describe on your user page, you can have problems logging in. If this happens, do not worry, you can edit with an IP. It may be useful to keep a note of my user talk pages location : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tiddly_Tom with the rest of your wikipedia documentation for if you have a problem with logging in. I do not meen that you should edit with an IP all the time, but just if you have some problems with logging in. I would be happy to help you with any problems you have. Happy Editing! [edit] Vandalism

Cluebot is an automated account that looks at all edits made to wikipedia and if they look like vandalism to it, it will undo the change and then leave the user a message to tell them that they have done it. The reason it said my name in its edit summery is that after it had edited the page, it would look exactly like the page did after I last edited it. ClueBot is one of the good guys and reverts thousands of nasty edits everyday. If you come across any more vandalism then feel free to undo it. If I can help any more, feel free to leave me another message. Tiddly-Tom 01:51, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

It happens to all sorts of articles. Just look here and you can see about 500 pages from which I removed vandalism. But due to all the good editors of Wikipedia 'bad' edits are normally removed with in seconds. Tiddly-Tom 16:05, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Poetry of the United States

Hello You seemed to be informative about reverting drastic revisions back to the original article. This unknown person called poetactionboy [1] seemed to taken upon himself to do drastic revise the article on Poetry of the United States. I do my share of editing many articles but I don't how to revert unsourced revision back to where the article was before such drastic revision. Can you give me any advice on this matter? Thank you for your careful scrutinity on your other reversion. Pjt48 (talk) 01:53, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Looking at the changes as a whole... [2] he moved and combined sections rather and did some minor grammar changes. Not being a specialist in poetry, American or otherwise, I recommend you take a good look at the changes as a whole and discuss it with him on the talk page of the article or his talk page the parts that you are having trouble with. --CanadianLinuxUser (talk) 12:51, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Hello Pjt48. Thanks for paying attention. I'm sorry if I've done injury to any of your hard work. Most of what I did was regrouping and cleanup -- I realize some of it's not yet sourced, but I'm looking for the right links. It did seem to me that some of the material on the page was poorly sourced or completely unsourced, and some of it seemed to fall outside general notability guidelines. Why not incorporate them into a separate page on alternative poetries (along with slam, online 'zines, etc.?) Poetactionboy (talk) 20:06, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
