Talk:Pizza Ranch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As a bit of background, my step-dad owns two Pizza Ranches in southern Iowa, and is a major financial backer for multiple stores; and I am a shift supervisor at two stores.
What makes Pizza Ranch unique is that most of their stores offer a host of dining options. Where else but Pizza Ranch can you get a pizza/chicken/salad bar buffet; carry-out your pizza; or have your box of chicken delivered right to your home? That friendly service has helped Pizza Ranch become the largest regional pizza chain in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. [1]
Sounds more like advertising than anything else. I think the piece should be re-written neutrally, to mention that the type of service provided is not something unique, or new, but rather something not commonly found in the small towns Pizza Ranches are normally in. The article also calls an item on the bar "Tater Wedges," which are through advertising and corporate standards actually referred to as "Ranch Potatoes". Same mislabeling occurs with the "dessert pizza", which is referred to as "Cactus Bread". If it would help, I have mission statements, etc, that I could post here on the talk page. I have access to corporate standards sheets, as well as nutritional information (example: chicken is broasted in trans-fat free Asoyia Oil) that i can post to this page if asked. I don't feel qualified (in that my writing style needs polished and I possess bias) to edit the page, but i will provide information to. Also, a new logo is going in to effect in the beginning of April (stores are being given a transition time, but all stores will adopt the new logo within three years). I think the page should be updated to reflect this.--12.210.212.119 04:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree removed advert tag and removed biased advert from article. --Masterpedia 14:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Prlogo-bw.jpg
Image:Prlogo-bw.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
