Piva, Montenegro

Piva (Пива) and Pivljani (Пивљани) is the names of the geographical region and Serb tribe of Old Herzegovina, situated in southwestern Montenegro, bordering Bosnia & Herzegovina. The Piva lake flows through the region. The Serbian president Boris Tadic is a descendant of the Piva clan. The Serbian Piva Monastery has been standing in Piva since the 16th century.
