Pittsburgh Action Against Rape

Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) is the only organization in Allegheny County solely devoted to the issues of sexual violence.

PAAR now offers, Responding to Trauma: Training, Education, Counseling, mobile services to survivors of sexual violence. PAAR provides training, education and counseling to community groups, individuals, professionals and agencies throughout Allegheny County.

PAAR provides one-on-one supportive counseling to:

Survivors of sexual assault and abuse Parents of survivors of sexual violence Friends and relatives of survivors of sexual violence

PAAR’s sexual assault counselors provide on-site supportive counseling and crisis counseling to survivors of sexual violence. Survivors will receive free, confidential counseling at social service agencies in your community. Referrals will be made to PAAR for more intensive trauma therapy.
