Pittsburg High School (also known locally as simply PHS) in Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas is a suburban school serving all of Pittsburg and other surrounding towns. Pittsburg High School is the largest high school in southeast Kansas. Recent graduates have gone on to attend top schools such as Cal Tech[3], Cornell, Duke, University of Pennsylvania, and UCLA[4].

The football program at Pittsburg High School has gone to the Kansas playoffs more than any team since its inception (27 in all). Being a ten-time state champion and a four-time state runner-up, PHS has been a Southeast Kansas League contender almost every year garnering 28 SEK titles with a host of alumni moving up to the collegiate level [5].
