Pitts Modern School

Pitts Modern School is located in Gomia block and is one of the well known schools in Jharkhand State in India. It was inaugurated on Novermber 1, 1967 by Sir Cyril A Pitts, former Chairman of ICI India Limited.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It imparts teaching in both English and Hindi mediums in two separate streams, from KG to Class XII. At the 10+2 level, subjects of study include Science, Commerce, Humanities, Computer Education, Informatics, Entrepreneurship, Business Studies, etc.

From a humble beginning with just 50 students and 6 staff, the school has come of age and today has 1700 students and 80 staff on its rolls.
