Pitchatur is a village and a Mandal in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. [1]

Pichatoor is located 60km from Tirupati and 75km from chennai on NH205. Araniar reservoir (capacity-32ft) is located in pichatoor.It is well connected by bus with Sri Kalahasti,Tirupati,Chennai,Tiruttani and Tiruvallur.

Prudential Mouli Sugars Ltd., Venkateswara Diary and Tirumala Diary are some of the industries located around Pichatoor.

Main occupation is agriculture and cattle breeding.

Ramagiri village is the place having Valeeswara swamy temple(Hanuman placed linga here while carrying it from Kasi due to thirst.He pulled the linga with his tail so it got the name as Valeeswara temple.) The temple is built by pallava rulers around 11th-12th century AD
