Pitam Pura

Pitampura is a locality in Northwest Delhi, India. Planned by the DDA, which forms North-West part of Delhi, it is a potential commercial and retail centre. The area is encompassed between Outer and Inner Ring Roads, NH1 and Rohtak Road. Over the years, Pitampura has shown significant growth. It is very close to Rohini, Model Town, Punjabi Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Lawrence Road, Raja Garden and Rajouri Garden areas. Pitampura has many housing colonies like Vaishali (known for its greenery), Saraswati Vihar (the largest colony of Pitampura), Lok Vihar, Ajay Apartments, Bank Vihar, Kohat Enclave, Engineers' Enclave, Harsha Vihar. Pitampura also has plotted houses developed by the DDA, like Deepali,Maurya Enclave, Vishakha Enclave. Then there are plenty of flatted societies like Income Tax Colony, Ashiana, Xavier Apartments, Pushpanjali.
The various major attractions of the region are Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura TV Tower, Hotel City Park, Rashtriya Swabhiman Khel Parisar, Dilli Haat, Fun Cinemas, Pacific Mall including a Multi-Cineplex. As many as three Delhi Metro Stations - Netaji Subhash Place, Kohat Enclave and Pitampura, cover this vibrant locality.
Several schools and vocational training institutes are growing in number here. One of those big ones is Shri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce and the other is Kasturba Polytechnic For Women. Students across the country come here for higher studies. With the advent of shopping malls and retail outlets of world-renowned brands and designer labels, like Gold Souk, Pacific Mall, M2K Cinema, PVR Fun City (near prashant vihar), which have helped to develop Pitampura really well, resulting in a skyrocketing of the real estate prices.
