Pirouz Nahavandi was a soldier who served under the Great Persian commander Rostam Farrokhzad, but was captured in the Battle of al-Qādisiyyah In 636 CE when the Persians were defeated by the Arab-Muslim army of Caliph `Umar ibn al-Khattâb on the western bank of the Euphrates River.
After the defeat Pirouz Nahavandi woke up with an arrow mark in his chest as a slave of an Arab-Muslim. Pirouz Nahavandi first word was "we Persians ruled the world for more than 1000 years, fought the Romans for seven centuries and never took we anyone as slaves but you Arab-Muslim took me as a slave you should let me die rather then save me so I could serve you Arab-Muslim as a slave". His new owner said "I am no Arab or a Muslim I am from pure Egyptian race, but the Arab-Muslims took our Kingdom too as you Persians know we sent a letter too your Persian Sassanian king and warned him and he told our messenger "tell your fallen Egyptian clan that Persia has ruled the world for more than 1000 years from Achaemenid dynasty 550 BCE till Sassanian Dynasty 600 CE so we have nothing to worry about from some desert living Quraysh Arab clan". But now the owner of Pirouz Nahavandi said that you should take our warning seriously and in the same time he said too Pirouz Nahavandi that work for me for 100 days and night and you will be a free man. Pirouz Nahavandi worked those 100 days and nights after those days he started too learn about Islam and by this way tried to assassinate Umar ibn al Khataab the great commander of Arab-Muslim world who fought the Great Persian commander Zoroaster Rostam Farrokhzad during the al-Qâdisiyyah Battle In 636 CE. After Pirouz Nahavandi learned about Arab Quraysh culture and Islam he asked to join the army of Islam. After a time he get the trust of the army of Islam so he could join Umar ibn al Khataab and one morning when Umar was leading the morning prayer at Masjid-un-Nabi, Pirouz Nahavandi approached the Caliph and thrust his dagger into his belly. He gutted the Caliph Umar ibn al khataab to the neck, then stabbed him in the back.
