Pirniče

Pirniče is a common name for two villages in central Slovenia in municipality of Medvode, 12 km NW from Ljubljana. Larger is Zgornje Pirniče, smaller and closer to Ljubljana is Spodnje Pirniče, known as birth place of a legendary Slovene partisan commander Franc Rozman-Stane. They were first mentioned in 12th century.
