The Pioneer Bowl is a bowl game between the highest-placing football teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. It has been played since 1997. This is the only bowl game between historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) and is one of only two NCAA Division II sanctioned bowl games.

Tuskegee University has made the most appearances at the Pioneer Bowl with a total seven times. Tuskegee has also won the most Pioneer Bowls with six wins.

The name "Pioneer Bowl" was used in 1993 as the name of a fictional bowl game played at the Alamodome in the television series Coach. There was also a "Pioneer Bowl" held annually from 1971 to 1978 and from 1981 to 1982 in Wichita Falls, Texas for the NCAA Division II.
