The Pioneer Badge is a badge in Scouts Australia that is earned by Scouts between the ages 11 and 15 by completing the Campcraft and Citizenship badges and one more elective target (which can be either Air Activities, Construction, Emergencies, Environment, Water Activities or Water Safety). Most Scouts begin their journey towards the Australian Scout Medallion by beginning with this badge: although they are not restricted to completing it first. When they complete the badge, the Scout can then participate in the Scout Leadership Course and Leadership Activity.
A scout needs to complete 2 Proficiency Badges and 1 Patrol Activity badge to earn their Pioneer Cord.
