Welcome!
Hello, Pinkboy7, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for joining our community. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. First thing: be bold! Editors are always happy to correct or revert mistakes and discuss changes with which they disagree. Here are some links you might find useful:
And for more detailed information:
- Help pages - the instruction manual, contains everything you could possibly want to know
- The five pillars of Wikipedia - our principles, or how to get on with other editors
- Manual of Style - how to format articles, where to place pictures, and other stylistic matters.
You can also check out the community portal, which has lots of ideas on how you can help Wikipedia.
All of this information can be daunting, but if you have a question and can't find the answer, you can always ask me on my talk page or go to Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. One last thing: please sign your name when leaving messages for others on article and user talk pages using (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you enjoy editing! --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:25, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Crime Epics
This category doesn't exist. Please stop adding articles to it - in particular, the articles on crime families, where you replaced the categories that were already there which had more relevance. --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:29, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Please stop. You're replacing a category with one which doesn't exist, and probably won't ever as 'Epics' is a term not used to describe real families and people. --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:31, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Last warning. I asked you to stop and you've not even deigned to talk to me. If necessary I will block you to stop you changing categories to ones that don't exist and aren't relevant. --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:33, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
I asked you to stop and you haven't responded, so I have blocked you for one hour. It's good that you're experimenting with Wikipedia, but you're damaging our system for categorising articles. Category:Notorious serial killers doesn't exist and never will, because as an enyclopaedia we always write from a neutral point of view and 'notorious' is a subjective label. If you'd like to suggest changes to how we categorise things, you should go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Categories and ask other editors what they think, before changing categories. --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:41, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
You can still edit this talk page if you feel like talking, by the way. --Sam Blanning(talk) 22:51, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help
If you need help, please post here and I will help you. I can get an admin to unblock you if you promise not to damage this encyclopedia with vandalism again. Thanks for taking an interest. --Sunfazer | Talk 20:16, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
