Is there any truth in the rumour that all the dialogue was highly sped-up and/or backwards dutch/swiss swearing?

Is the link to a game called "Smack the pingu" really relevant to the article? There's nothing but the name (and the species of the animal involved) that links it with the TV series. --EldKatt 16:04, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pygos Group?

Did the rights for Pingu exchanged hands from Trickfilmstudios to Pygos group before HiT bought the rights? The version of Pingu I get on TV (channel TV3 (Malaysia)) copyrights it to Pygos Group and HiT entertainment, and HiT entertainment's website also credits Pygos Group. From my googling, Pygos Group is apparently a Japanese company and apparently a subsidiary of Sony Creative Products. Also, the theme song I get on the channel is different from the one linked from this page. It has this hiphop-ish feel to it, and pretty much fits the description of the "Pingu Dance".RAMChYLD 13:42, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

To help you "identify" it, here's what the Pingu Dance sounds like: There's a lot of "Too Pingu!" and "Do the pi-pi-pi, do pi-pi-pi-, do the Pingu" in it. One part of the lyrics also goes "Let's count to ten and start with one. One two three.." and "stop your feet and turn around, reach for sky and touch the ground". The article says Pingu's family lives in an igloo formerly inhabited by Inuit. Are you sure about that? I always had the impression that in this story, penguins build the igloos themselves. There's even an episode where Pingu goes camping with his friend and they make their own igloo. --Mithcoriel 19:34, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree. It's a little dubious. If it's still there, it should be removed.

I think it meant 'the type of dwelling inhabited by inuits in former times' and is just a badly worded sentence. Have fixed it. --HappyDog 20:11, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

And surely the words "charming" and "lovable" on the front cover shouldn't be there? For some reason seeing Pingu, Robby and Pinga covered in hideous blue paint with equally hideous false faces over their own made me feel really sick, and has put me off watching Pingu again forever. it is for kids, but there is other wierd episodes like that, in one the whole episode is pingu drinks too much and accidently urinates on the bathroom floor, (after his sister urinated in the shop and after pingu had tried to steal the potty of his sister AND after he tricked his dad out of the toilet)another wierd one is where pingu has a bad dream about objects in his house floating away, his bed walking, and a giant sea lion that harrass's pingu, then again, its for 4 year olds

All right, once and for all: is it "Pinguish" or "Penguinese"? Which are we going to use as the main name of the language in the article? We can't be switching back and forth from sentence to sentence. I support "Pinguish" myself--more Google hits for that than for "Penguinese"--but we need a consensus here. Please respond. I noticed that when Pingu and Pingi parted company after first meeting at school, it looked very much like the sign said "glasnost" in one direction, and "perestroika" in this other. Is it me? has anyone else noticed interesting content like that? Philculmer (talk) 16:42, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

You're probably right (the synopsis for this episode (episode 2.2) has had a footnote to this effect for some time). Good work, though. If you come across further oddities they could be highlighted in similar fashion, as I'm sure there are more to be found.
