Talk:Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro

"Before the island was inhabited, there was a couple Mina and Ador..." -- is this universally accepted as fact? If it's a legend, or otherwise disputed, this should be noted. -- Karl Naylor 10:14, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I removed the text until it can be verified/clarified. If it's just folklore, it isn't helpful to be in the article as if it were fact:
- Before the island was inhabited, there was a couple Mina and Ador who came on a boat from a far away island (probably Masbate). For days they were hopelessly looking for an island to land. One dawn came and Mina woke up and found an island that is the Mindoro island. She woke up Ador and informed him of the island. The act of waking up and making him known of the island was the origin of the word "pinamalayan" meaning the place where he was made known.
