Pink Velvet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pink Velvet (The Innocence of Lesbian Love) is a lesbian porn movie by British director Viv Thomas. It is about Jo, the main character, moving into a house in Budapest, Hungary. This was followed by two sequels: Pink Velvet 2 and Pink Velvet 3. All have been rated R18 by the BBFC which is reserved for hardcore pornography sold in the UK via licensed sex shops.
Sometimes referred to as a "soft porn" movie, the film actually contains many explicit (hardcore) sex scenes, including close-ups. The reason it is labeled "soft core" by some is because these explicit sequences are embedded in what are intended to be "realistic" scenarios, characterized by lush settings, some kind of "set up," a good deal of kissing, a gradual build-up, and finally explicit sex scenes in which there is no use of "sex toys." Viv Thomas posts semi-regularly on the "LezLoveVideo.com" forum (http://group.lezlove.com), a site dedicated to connoisseurs of lesbian pornography, where he contrasts his work to "mainstream" pornography in which there are few or none of the features described above, but simply non-stop explicit sex.
