The pink-winged phasma (Podacanthus typhon) are found on Australia with three other species in the genus typhon. P. typhon is a not very large stick insect compared to the titan stick insect but compared to the children's stick insect the 2 are even to each other.

The Pink-winged phasma is green all over, has a purple-red top part of abdomen along with blue wing joints to Pink wings. The meso thorax is reduced in size and has small spines, from the meso thorax goes the largely wide wing set. Underneath the largely wide wing set is spines that cover a small part of the second thorax and then on to the abdomen.
