Pingsi, Taipei

Pingsi (traditional Chinese: 平溪鄉; Hanyu Pinyin: Píngxī Xiāng; Tongyong Pinyin: Pingsi Siang; Wade-Giles: Ping-hsi-hsiang; Taiwanese: Pêng-khoe; historically spelled Pinghsi), is a rural township in the eastern part of Taipei County, of Taiwan. The source of the Keelung River is in Jingtong, which is inside the Pingsi Township. It was an important coal mining town in the early 20th century.
