Ping Shek Estate

Ping Shek Estate (Chinese: 坪石邨) is a major public housing estate in Jordon Valley of New Kowloon in Hong Kong. The estate is situated between the Kowloon entrance of Clear Water Bay Road to Sai Kung and the entrance of Kwun Tong Road to Kwun Tong.
There are seven residential blocks in the estates. All are named after stones of various colours in Cantonese language:
- Hung Shek House (紅石樓)
- Kam Shek House (金石樓)
- Lam Shek House (藍石樓)
- Tsuen Shek House (鑽石樓)
- Tsui Shek House (翠石樓)
- Wong Shek House (黃石樓)
- Yuk Shek House (玉石樓)
Apart from serving local residents, the market and supermarket in the estate are places to buy foods before going to barbecue in the rural Sai Kung. A bigger market built by former Urban Council is in the opposite of estate across Clear Water Bay Road.[citation needed]
The bus terminus in the estate is a transportation hubs in the area and an aparment project is completed above the terminus.
