Pineapple Princess
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Pineapple Princess" is an American rock and roll song made popular by Annette Funicello in the summer of 1960. It appeared on the LP record Hawaiiannette. "Pineapple Princess" was written by Bob and Dick Sherman.
In 1964, the Quinto Sisters recorded the song as a single for Columbia Records and performed it on NBC TV for Mitch Miller’s “Sing Along with Mitch."
The novelty-rock band Barnes & Barnes performed a cover of this song on their 1986 album Sicks.
It was also featured on the 1999 album "I Miss You, My Hawaii," by Na Leo Pilimehana, who wrote that they hadn't ever heard the song, until it was suggested by their co-producer Kenneth Makuakane.
