[edit] Transplants In Mind

Hi there, I just came across this article you wrote. Wikipedia has important rules on notability, meaning that everything that is written about must pass as 'notable' by Wikipedia's rules. This article does not assert the notability of its topic- has it featured in any news stories? The simplest way to prove that a subject is notable is to provide multiple, third party, non trivial, reliable sources. There are other ways to prove it, take a look at our policy on corporations and organisations. I have tagged the article as being of questionable notability- please don't take offence, just try and provide some proof that it isn't! Feel free to contact me on my talk page if I can be of any help. J Milburn 11:55, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Right, that still isn't going to be enough, I'm sorry. The "Battling to beat black transplant odds" article is no good, because it doesn't actually mention the charity. Perhaps if you could get another good source linking the two, then that would help cover it. The other two sources aren't articles about the organisation as such, and are simply directory entries, and so they are no good either. Do you have any others? Again, feel free to contact me if I can be of any help. J Milburn 12:24, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
It is evident that the event they organise is notable- why not write an article on that and include some details about Transplants In Mind within that, and then make Transplants In Mind a redirect (by typing #REDIRECT [[Exact name of article to be redirected to]])? I can't see anyone having any objections to that. That said, if you expand the current article to talk a little more about the event, then I can't see there being many objections to that, either. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help. J Milburn 13:02, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, that looks great, thanks for sticking with it. Not quite sure what you mean by 'official editors'- every good faith editor is respected equally, from newcomer to admin. However, I have removed the notability banner, and added the article to a category, grouping it with other, similar charities. Feel free to contact me if you would like any further help, and happy editing! J Milburn 14:41, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
