Pimpbot is a ska punk band from Waikiki. Formed in 2001, the band is currently composed of Fernando "The Love Machine" Pacheco (lead vocals, trombone, tuba), Tom "Tommy Utah" Coleman (backing vocals, guitar), Rylan "Big Sexy" Yee (bass, keyboard), and Eric "The Biz" Lagrimas (drums, flutophone, tenor sax), who are graduates of the University of Hawaii and Berklee College of Music. Past members include Joel Tokunaga (guitar), Shannon Ogura(bass), Alex Nagata (drums), Chris LaPan (backing vocals, drums), and Mike Lewis (bass).

Blending influences of reggae, dance rock, hard-core and rocksteady, the band is a local favorite, playing at many Honolulu venues. Pimpbot performed at the world famous Wave Waikiki at the closing celebration. They headlined the grand opening of the stage at Kemo'o Farms. Pimpbot has also played the Sunset on the Beach event at Waikiki Beach. The band has toured on Maui, Big Island, gone to mainland four times to tour the U.S. and Canada. During their travels they have gained national and international acclaim. During their seven yesrs Pimpbot has played with bands from around the world such as The Toasters, Less Than Jake, Warsaw, General Public featuring Dave Wakeling, The Aquabats, Save Ferris, Buck-O-Nine, Go Jimmy Go, The Aggrolites, The Skeletones, Buck-0-Nine, Skaladdin and the One Man Ska Band-Chris Murray.

The band incorporates a humorous aspect to their lyrics while still maintaining serious and respectably talented music. Pimpbot prides itself in keeping a true sound that is versatile and stands independent from public influence.

First known as the Honolulu Pub All-Stars, Pimpbot got their name from a character in a recurring skit on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien TV show.[1]

Their second full-length album, "Admit One," was released in March 2008.[2]
