Pimm's Cup is a popular cocktail in southern England. It is based on Pimm's No.1, a gin-based beverage flavored with fruits and spices invented in 1823 as a health drink.

[edit] Pimm's No.1 Cocktail (Pimm's Cup, Pimm's No.1 Cup)
This is the original recipe for the Pimm's Cup cocktail.
Over ice, pour:
- 1 part Pimm's No.1
- 2 to 3 parts Lemonade.
- Infuse with Borage leaves, Mint leaves, and slices of lemon, orange, strawberry, and apple.
[edit] Pimm's No.1 Cup Variants
- A close approximation to Pimm's No.1 can be prepared by mixing one part gin with one part red vermouth and ½ part triple sec or Orange Curacao.
- Sometimes Lemon-Lime Soda, Ginger Ale, or "Indian Tonic Water" (Quinine Tonic) is substituted for the Lemonade.
- A splash of Club soda or sweet soda is sometimes added for flavor.
- The Borage leaves are usually replaced by a cucumber wedge in modern versions of the drink served today.
- Add 1 part gin for a Pimm's No.1 Plus cocktail.

As served at the Napoleon House restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana. Fill a tall 12 oz. glass with ice and add
- 1¼ oz Pimm's No. 1
- 3 oz Lemonade
- Top off with lemon-lime soda (e.g., 7 Up).
- Garnish with a Cucumber wedge, Mint leaves, and an orange slice.

- 1 part gin.
- 2 parts Pimm's No. 1.
- 2 parts Ginger Ale.
- Place a Cucumber slice in the drink instead of as a garnish.
- Top off with 1 part Soda water.

- 2 parts Ginger Beer.
- Add a dash of Ginger syrup.
[edit] Pimm's No.3 Cocktail (Pimm's Winter Cocktail)
This was formerly made with Pimm's No.3 (the brandy-based liqueur) and infused with spices and orange peel. However, this product was phased out in the 1980s. It is now made with its replacement, the brandy-based Pimm's Winter, which is already infused with spices and orange peel.
Over ice pour:
- 1 part Pimm's Winter.
- 2 to 3 parts chilled ginger ale.
- Garnish with orange slices.

- Chilled lemonade, lemon soda, or tonic water may be substituted for the ginger ale.
- Add 1 part brandy for a Pimm's No.3 Plus cocktail.

Over ice pour
- 1 part Pimm's No.6 (this is the vodka-based variant).
- 2 to 3 parts lemonade or lemon soda.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.

- Chilled ginger ale or tonic water may be substituted for the lemonade or lemon soda.
- Add 1 part vodka for a Pimm's No.6 Plus cocktail.

In a shaker 2/3 full of ice add:
- 2 parts Pimms No.6
- 1 part vodka
- Add the juice and pureed flesh of a Passion fruit.
- Add a dash of sugar syrup.
Shake well and strain into a tumbler full of ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint and two short straws.

In a shaker 2/3 full of ice add:
- 2 parts Pimms No.6
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part Cointreau.
Shake well and strain into a highball full of ice. Top off with soda water and garnish with mint.

In a coffee mug mix
- 1 part of Pimm's Winter
- 3 parts warm apple juice or "soft" apple cider.
- Garnish with an orange slice or wedge.

- Apple slices may be substituted for the orange wedge.
- It can be heated and served like mulled cider.
- Add a measure of "hard" apple cider to give it some kick.

In a pitcher with ice cubes mix:
- 3 parts Pimm’s No.1
- 1 part gin
- 10 parts lager
- 1 part Cranberry juice
- 8 parts fizzy lemonade
Stir. Strain into highball glasses over ice cubes. Use strawberries, lemon slices and mint sprigs to garnish. Serves 2.

In a tall glass mix over ice:
- 2 parts Pimm's No.1.
- 1½ parts fresh-squeezed Orange juice
- 1½ parts Cranberry juice.
- Garnish with apple slices.

In a champagne flute pour:
- 1 part Pimm's No.1.
- Top off with champagne.
- Garnish with a strawberry.

- 1 part Pimm's Winter topped off with chilled sparkling apple cider or champagne and garnished with an orange slice is called a Pimm's No.3 Royale.
- 1 part Pimm's No.6 topped off by champagne and garnished with a lemon slice is called a Pimm's No.6 Royale.

In a highball glass over ice, pour:
- 1 part Pimm's No.1
- Top off with champagne or sparkling white wine.
- Garnish with Mint leaves, strawberries, raspberries, red currants, green and black grapes, and slices of pear.

In a wide-mouthed wine golblet mix
- 1 part Pimm's No.1
- Top off with sparkling white wine.
- Zest with orange and lime peel.
- Place a large cucumber slice inside the rim of the glass topped with a sprig of Thai basil.
- The drink should be sipped to enjoy its aroma.
- Adkins substitutes the Pimm's No.1 with a combination of gin, sweet and dry vermouth, Campari and Dubonnet Rouge.

- 1 part Sour Apple-flavored liqueur (i.e., Manzana verde or Pucker).

- top off with Pomegranate cordial

- 50 ml Pimm's

- 50-100ml Soda Water (optional)
- 50-100ml Lemonade (optional)
- Selection of fruit - Orange/Lemon slices
- Combine in a large jug and enjoy with plenty of ice.

- 1 part Smirnoff vodka
- 2 parts orange juice (with pulp)
- 1 part pink grapefruit juice
- Enjoy garnished with citrus slices.
