/whois Pilotguy
Pilotguy is a mainly inactive administrator on Wikipedia. I am also a student. See below for what I do and how to get in touch with me.
Newcomers, have a read.

What I do
Across Wikimedia, I fill a couple of roles. These include editor (since December 2005), administrator (since June 2006), a channel staffer for the Countervandalism network, a volunteer for the foundation's OTRS response team, and an IRC operator. I am proud of the variety of work accomplished here not only by me but by you and others as well. Please feel free to let me know if you need help with anything; though I am mainly inactive, I'll be happy to help you out. See below for more of what I do here.
- Administrator: Basic tasks are done, mainly housekeeping-related work, insuring that CAT:ABL didn't get too out of hand, and all the other things you'd expect. Please feel free to ask me for help if you need assistance requiring administrative tools.
- CVN staffer: As a staffer for the Countervandalism Network, a network responsible for running vandalism detection channels for certain Wikimedia projects, I can assist in getting you confirmation for our channels, as well as handle any issues which may arise. Note while our channels do report vandalism on wikipedia, the CVN has no affiliation to Wikipedia or the counter vandalism unit.
- OTRS: As part of volunteering for the response team, I answer questions from queries that get sent in via the "Contact Us" link on the left. If you see me working on an article about a person, school, etc, please keep in mind that I am most likely doing it because of a complaint, and that you should edit these articles as carefully as possible. Remember that people have feelings. Big brother is watching. I try to indicate such edits by inserting "OTRS" into my edit summary. Just ask if you have a question about anything I might have edited in this regard. See also m:OTRS.

"While Wikipedia is at 2 million articles and counting, this is no cause for celebration. Many of these articles are having some cleanup, citation or other issue that detracts from the quality of our site. As of this message, we have not even reached 1,600 featured articles and not even 3,000 decent articles. So, out of the sheer madness that we call Wikipedia, less than 5,000 pages have been identified with some sort of decent quality control. This is disturbing to me and it should be disturbing to you. I am not sure what will make the community wake up; a nice cup of coffee, a message like this or a swift kick in the testicles; but something has to be done. Whatever path you choose to take is completely on your own, regardless, we must do the following: Forget quantity and let's get quality." --Zscout370
How to contact me
- Editors: leave a message on my User Talk page.
- IRC users: visit me at #wikipedia, or #wikipedia-en (IRC is the best way to get in touch with me!).
- Press inquiries should be done through the foundation at the press room, before contacting me directly.
- You can E-mail me here.
- Never hesitate to get in touch with me via the above methods.
