Talk:Pillsbury Doughboy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm not sure how it works but I did a search for the Pillsbury Doughboy with Google and found the following page that has content nearly identical to what is found here. It appears to me as though the content here could have been copied from the other page (http://www.adage.com/century/icon06.html)--but I'm not sure what to do.
Wikipedia: "Perz originally conceived Fresh as an animated figure, but changed his mind after seeing a stop-action titling technique used in the opening credits for The Dinah Shore Show. A 3-D Doughboy doll of clay was then created at a cost of $16,000. Paul Frees (the voice of Rocky and Bullwinkle's Boris Badenov) was chosen to be Fresh's voice."
Adage site: "Although Perz had originally conceived His Doughness as an animated character, he changed his mind after seeing a stop-action tilting technique used in the opening credits for "The Dinah Shore Show."
The decision was made to create a 3-D Doughboy doll of clay at a cost that seemed like a small fortune 34 years ago -- $16,000." Black Wolff 00:06, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
When poked in the stomach, a sign of affection and thanks for his excellent products, he lets out a soft, warm chuckle.
Am I the only one who thinks ths sentence is really weird? I don't know what to change it to, though. 68.230.25.52 18:57, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Regarding the recent Fallon 47.exe edit, please see this guideline regarding profanity.
Seems to me that reference doesn't add much to the article, so it should be deleted, not censored. 3Idiot 14:12, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

It doesn't quite sound right that the son's name is Pooper, I think it probably is Popper, and someone as a joke typed Pooper. Luna'sPatronus 15:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Pilsbury Doughboy; My Hero!!!!
Just absolutely amazingly adorable. Making everyday life just so much happier. Even though just a make believe toy, to me way more than just a joy!!! I am a huge collector of the Pilsbury Doughboy, perhaps this would constitute me as still a child. Well, than I admit it, guess I will never truelly grow up then. Long live the Doughboy and may he continue to become more published and may he always stay young at heart and funny. Pilsbury Doughboy I am your biggest fan, ALWAYS. sincerely, Laura AKA Doughboy@hci-cable.com September 24, 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.178.2.52 (talk) 10:26, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

He doesn't do the tickling sound anymore. I heard from a friend Pillsbury lost the rights to use that sound. That true? 71.228.12.3 (talk) 05:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Doughboy.gif
Image:Doughboy.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
