Pileru or Piler (పీలేరు) is a town, Mandal and Major panchayat and MLA constituency in Chittoor district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.^[1] This pileru and its surroundings are famous for Agriculture...and it is located on the National Highways(NH-18 and NH-205).

This town is having more than 60 thousands of population..

This town got the name as Pileru because of the river (Pilla Eru- Small water path in english) Pileru passes through this and it finally reaches the Pincha Dam. Piler is have multidivisional culture and telugu language axccent , because it is center point to 2 neighouring states that are Karnataka (KA), Tamilnadu(TN).Piler is having a big role in terms of agriculture, education, commercial and political. But it is not been recognized as other towns in the District.

From this business town we can reach Tirupathi, Madanapalli, Chittor, Royachoti and Palamaneru with same distance of 57 Km

• Politics plays major role in this area. The popular political leaders are Pedhireddi Ramachandra Reddy(DCC) from Congress(I) party. He was a classmate of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Sri Venkateswara University. The current opposition leader for this constituency is G.V.Srinadha Reddy of Telugu Desam Party. Present MPP of piler is M.Venkatramana Reddy of Telugu desam Party.No other parties including Bharatiya Janata Party have a significant influence in this constituency.

• There are two State Bank of India ATMs, one is located at X Roads adjacent to State Bank of India branch office, and the other is located besides Andhra Bank. Andhra Bank has one ATM opposite to Panchayat Office on the way to Shukur Picture Palace.

Air: The nearest airport is at Tirupathi and Chennai.

Rail: Pileru has two railway stations on the Tirupathi-Pakala-Guntakal line. Currently the broad gauge railway line is under construction. The track is temporarily suspended for transportation.

Road: Pileru is well connected with all the places within the state and other parts of the country also. The state transport corporation run buses to all the important tourist places.

• From this Piler town you will find buses to Hyderabad,Vijayawada,chennai,Bangalore,Hubli,Shimoga,Mangalore.and towards NH-205 you will find buses to Puttaparthi,Ananthapur,Dharmavaram,Hindupur,Tadipatri,Raichur,Hospet,Bellari.And towards NH-18 Proddutur,Badwel,Kadapa,Kurnool,vellore.

• From this pileru town you have bus for every 20-25 mins to the great piligrim city Tirupathi.

• At present there is no Train facility due to its broadguage conversion from Guntakal to pakala.Work is going in constructive manner and we expect the train facility with in a Year

• Talakona which is famous for its Lord Shiva temple,Water falls and deep Forest, which is just 35 kilometers away from Pileru. This location is popular for movie shootings. We can find many buses and other transportation means to reach here from Pileru and Tirupati.

• This place is well connected to all the district head quarters

• Has a hospital run by state government with all the facilities for primary care and there are number of private hospitals providing health care services in different specializations.
