The Pileated Parrot (Pionopsitta pileata) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. A local name Paraguayan Guaraní is Cúiu Cúiu.

It is the type species of the genus Pionopsitta, but among the parrots traditionally placed therein also the most distinct, with an all-green head save for colored patches in the ear region and, uniquely among the group, the forehead. More recently it has been established that it is indeed distinct enough to move the other members of Pionopsitta into their old genus Gypopsitta again, making Pionopsitta monotypic.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
