Pike Road is a city in Montgomery County, Alabama, in the United States. As of 2007, the population of the city is 4,570.

Pike Road is located at 32°16′11″N, 86°8′25″W (32.269660, -86.140167)[1].

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km²), all of it land.

Pike Road elects a mayor and a five-member town council every four years. The mayor and all council members are elected at-large. Pike Road's current mayor is Gordon Stone.

The current town council members are: Chris Dunn, Jay Hinton, Charles Julius, Wayne Rabren, and Leroy Tolliver. The Pike Road Town Council meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.

The town of Pike Road, Alabama also has one paid employee: the Town Clerk. The current town clerk is Charlene Rabren, wife of Councilman Wayne Rabren.

Sales tax is 8.75 percent (of which 4 percent goes to the State of Alabama and 2.5 percent goes to Montgomery County) , Income Tax Goes to United States Government[2].

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 310 people, 110 households, and 95 families residing in the city. The population density was 83.7 people per square mile (32.3/km²). There were 114 housing units at an average density of 30.8/sq mi (11.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 59.03% White, 40.32% Black or African American, 0.32% Asian, and 0.32% from two or more races.

There were 110 households out of which 37.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.2% were married couples living together, 12.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.6% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.07.

In the city the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 33.5% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 96.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.8 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $86,492, and the median income for a family was $105,116. Males had a median income of $88,307 versus $17,321 for females. The per capita income for the city was $36,912. About 13.7% of families and 19.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 38.6% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.
