[edit] From Talk:Miranda Devine

Thankyou, 'D4g0thur', for taking the time and effort to look into this. Your reply is detailed and considered. I take your point about creating a user account.//EDIT// just created account 'Pigmypossum' 203.214.155.23 11:13, 5 July 2007 (UTC) Pigmypossum 11:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm replying here so as not to clutter up the article's talk page. I'm happy to be able to help and I hope you'll continue editing Wikipedia and make many useful contributions in the future. Again, happy editing! D4g0thur 12:06, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Re; Miranda Devine, I just don't know if those descriptions should be included in the introduction. You can say that she is more conservative, but this is slightly libelous. Smkohnstamm

[edit] 3RR

Please note that reversions of simple vandalism are exempted from the 3RR, and using diffs with multiple intermediate revisions to attempt to hide this fact is disruptive. SWATJester Denny Crane. 21:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. SWATJester Denny Crane. 22:03, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi Pigmypossum. The changes you made to the Glenn Milne page are in good faith, but they do violate some wikipedia policies. Firstly, the controversy section was expanded to the extent that it violated WP:UNDUE. Furthermore, if you have read other wikipedia pages, the manual of style WP:MOS, and the copyright policies you will find that we don't create content consisting almost entirely of direct quotes from media sources. You should cite the sources you have read, and succinctly summarise the content in your own words. As for the question about the picutre, I'm afraid I do not have a detailed knowledge of image policies, but the image has not been deleted or proposed for deletion, so maybe it can go back into the article. You might be confused by my message: the copyright violation was text, not an image. There ARE some instances when copyrighted images can be included under fair use: try your best to avoid them as they are limited to only certain situations, and always must require that no free alternative exists.

As for the 3RR report, no harm no foul. SWATJester Denny Crane. 01:47, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Glenn Milne Walkleys.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Glenn Milne Walkleys.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:34, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
