If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome! —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 21:51, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Submachine 5.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Submachine 5.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:39, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of SubMachine (Game)
A tag has been placed on SubMachine (Game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. tgies (talk) 23:44, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Submachine 5.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Submachine 5.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Oh My
Dear oh dear. Not a discusions area!
[edit] Speedy deletion of Scan fran skeet
A tag has been placed on Scan fran skeet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 21:23, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Nakon 21:45, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of List of English Word Suggestions
I have nominated List of English Word Suggestions, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of English Word Suggestions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rnb (talk) 00:37, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A little problem here.
When I signed up, I thought I would have a lot to write. It turns out, it's hard to fit things into an encylopedic form. Things that I can write in this paticular form already have a page, and there are little modifications that I may preform.
What do you do as a Wikipedian? Piepeople (talk) 13:36, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, not sure who you're asking, but there are lots of things to do around Wikipedia. There are tons of requested articles just waiting to be written. There are some ridiculously long backlogs of often simple things that need doing on articles. I spend a lot (maybe too much?) of time on recent changes patrol. I'd recommend you start slow and get your toes wet to get the feel of the way things are done around here, but don't be shy about doing things that would make the encyclopedia better! Feel free to ask me any more questions you may have. Be well! —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 03:24, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
