I am a software engineer and mathematician, and have done some work on spread spectrum, including a patent on a pseudonoise generator and one on a type of direct-sequence spread spectrum modulation.

I have lived in the Charlotte, North Carolina area for over fifteen years, with an interlude in California. I was born in New York shortly after Surtsey.

I am related on my mother's side to Alicia Lardé, who married John Nash.

I am a native bilingual, though a bit influent in French because I don't get much practice here in America. I also know various amounts of other languages and sometimes astonish foreigners by saying something in their language. I am also contributing to Lojban.

For the past couple of years I have been studying taxonomy. Most of the Lojban taxonomy chart (so far) is by me. I am a creationist (old earth), so I tend to dislike cladistics.

I am an aspie; I can remember vast information about computers, mathematics, and taxonomy (of languages as well as life) but may get baffled by interpersonal interaction.

I am single and looking. If you'd like to get to know me, send me an email.

I also contribute to Wikitravel (see my user page).
