From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Modified the page because the school was not the first one to be named after Trudeau in Ontario.

[edit] Is PET really that special?
I'm not so sure about every single standard required of a page, and so i'm not going to put up a vote for deletion of the page, but is this page really needed? I mean, it isn't as if we need to create a page for every single school in the whole world, only those with a certain significance right? And to be quite honest, with this school being my homeschool, I don't see the significance of it. --Steven 17:50, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- No; With that logic, we really shouldn't have a page on every species in the whole world, because some of them are not 'special'. Wikipedia thrives and embraces new information, and this page delivers that (and yes, I go to PETHS). Okk 03:55, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- I know that many many other high school's in Markham have their own pages: thus we should as well. Also, as Okk says, Wikipedia thrives off of new information. The more the better. -Rob 03:11, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestions for Additions to the page:
I've just got a couple of suggestions of stuff to add to the page (I'm new to the who page-creating/editing thing so thats why im putting this here) :
-Our school emblem (The blazer guy) should be added in the right hand panel somewhere. I know there is a digital copy of it floating around somewhere, but I don't have it.
-List of clubs/councils within the school:
Octagon Club

Drama Council
Music Council
Athletic Council
Reach for the top school trivia team (REACH)
Christian Fellowship
Badminton Club
D.E.C.A.
M.I.S.O.
S.T.R.U.T.
Anime Club
Trudeau Advertising Agency (TAA)
[The other like 50 I've forgotten]
-List of Student Council (All past councils, as well as the present one in a more prominent place)
I could get this list if needed, and I can list off the present one from memory

Edited a bit to keep the events at the bottom up to date, added a new event or two.
- I was going to go into detail about clubs etc at the school, but the semester started and I got busy (I'll get around to it...someday). The school site, however, does have a list of clubs with some details about them. Okk 02:02, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] To be honest...
I really don't think its necessary to put the names of all Student Council members. It makes the page look very unprofessional and unencyclopedic. What I would recommend is putting a list of all the Student Council Presidents and Vice-presidents since the school was founded (2002). Xero, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I can't agree with you anymore, I mean do we really need to write EVERYTHING about the school, seriously don't all other HS has a cafeteria, art room, drama room, weight room, and gym?? I mean is it nescessary to glamourize about a school where alot of it's students don't really like it. RIPped, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- The sole purpose of this article is to not "glamourize" it, the purpose is for general knowledge for people who want to know about the school. People may have their opinions about the school, but this article is meant to have accurate and unbiased information. Wikipedia has a lot of articles that, for some, really make no sense, but they are there, and they're there for people to read. xero-7 17:20, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ranking and scores
C'mon people, this is an academic school, yes. But you need to CITE YOUR REFERENCES when you add things onto this article. We need some references for the Fraser Institute ranking/scores and miscellaneous info. xero-7 (talk) 21:36, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
