What's the area of Piel Island? I originally gave this as 50 acres and based the assessment on a careful measurement of an OS map. Other sources, most notably the BBC in their article about the King of Piel, give other figures, 20 acres in the case of the BBC. I would have thought 50 acres to be more accurate, judging by my own visits to the island. I also assessed the area of Roa Island in a similar manner. Maybe that needs reviewing as well. Robert Hardman's article in the Daily Mail June 10 2006 states the area as 20 acres. Devious Viper 14:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
