Pierre de Bar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pierre de Bar[1] (died 1252, Perugia) was a French Cistercian, a papal legate and Cardinal. He is also tentatively identified as a scholastic philosopher, at the University of Paris around 1230[2].
He was apostolic administrator of the see of Palestrina in 1250, and bishop of Sabina in 1252, shortly before his death.
There is a portrait of him with Mary Magdalen, by Giotto, in the basilica of San Francesco, Assisi[3].
