[edit] History

Pierce the Veil was formed in the fall of 1998 under the name The Early Times. After releasing a CD that became an underground success they then had their first breakthrough in 2004. After being signed by Equal Vision Records the band released, A Celebration of an Ending under their new name Before Today. In the fall of 2006, brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes, changed the band name from Before Today to Pierce the Veil(a song title featured on their prior album), also displacing Joe Tancil (guitar) and Mitchell Ballatore (bass). The lineup is now Vic Fuentes (vocals, guitar), Mike Fuentes (drums), Jaime Preciado (bass), and Tony Perry (guitar). Mike is a self-taught drummer and has been playing for eight years. Re-signing to Equal Vision Records, they released their second album entitled A Flair For The Dramatic on June 26, 2007. They have toured with bands such as Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Chiodos, From First To Last, Emery, The Devil Wears Prada, and Mayday Parade. In November 2007, it was announced that Pierce The Veil would be performing in Vans Warped Tour 2008, and on The Bamboozle Left 2008, which is being held in Irvine, CA.
