The Pied Lapwing (Vanellus cayanus) is a species of bird in the Charadriidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is rivers.
