Piechcin

Piechcin (German Handsdorf) is a village with 3,186 inhabitants (2004), approximately 9 km south of Barcin in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodship (Kujawsko-Pomorskie) in Poland. Limestone quarry provides limestone to the Lafarge cement factory, which is also situated there. This quarry has been operational since 1860, and was acquired by the Lafarge Group in 1996.
