Pidie Jaya Regency is a regency (Indonesian: kabupaten) in the Aceh province of Indonesia. The seat of the regency government is at Meureudu.
Pidie Jaya was a newly created regency along with Kota Subulussalam in Aceh Selatan (South Aceh) and many other areas throughout the country. Prior the creation of the regency, the officials of the area have agreed to called Meureudu as a capital city while Ulee Gle in Bandar Dua (as the largest city in the regency) remains as a trade city. Pidie Jaya consists of the following subdistricts: 1. Tringgadeng 2. Pante Raja 3. Meureudu 4. Meurah Dua 5. Ulim 6. Bandar Dua
The regency was a part of Pidie regency until it was officially created in January 2006. The regency has several beautiful natural views ranging from its natural sea shores lies from Meureudu to Jangka Buya and its natural mountain that lies along Barisan mountain.
