[edit] Extreme SW Corner of the U.S.

End of U.S./Mexico border fence in San Ysidro, CA

I took this picture when I was in So. Cal a couple of months ago. I have always liked it as it was a nice sunny day and the sky was clear. I feel the display of the Mexican side being so crowded yet the U.S. side is practically empty give a further dimension to the shot.

Comments:

  • It is a good, interesting, well done, and useful picture. There is unfortunately a bright strip through it about 3/8ths of the way across - it looks like the image used for that part of pano had different camera settings or a different exposure than the other images. I can't help but wonder whether you just used the Auto settings on the camera when taking the originals. You may be able to do some processing on the original image/s to try to correct the differences and restitch it, but as is that would stop any chance for FPC at the moment. Thanks for putting it up at PPR. --jjron (talk) 05:13, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Looks like that bright strip was caused by late morning sun glare. Try reshooting when the sun is less high in the sky. DurovaCharge! 12:17, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the comments. I can't take another anytime soon as I live in the Seattle area very far away from TJ! Also FYI the white house that is the closest under the Corona beer sign is allegedly a house used by drug gangs/smugglers according to the border patrol guy that I spoke to while there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rev Sysyphus (talkcontribs) 08:51, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
