Bang Pa-In is one of the 16 amphoe of Ayutthaya province, Thailand. The area is best known for the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, a palace complex formerly used by the Thai kings as a summer dwelling. Most of the present buildings were constructed between 1872 and 1889 by King Chulalongkorn.
