[edit] Conflicting Information

This article has conflicting information with List of mountains in Brazil. The height stated here is 2,878 meters and the List says 2.787 meters. The rank is also conflicting, stating third here and seventh on the List. If someone has correct data about this mountain, please correct which one is wrong. Thanks.-Poli 2005 July 7 15:37 (UTC)

[edit] Updated info on altitude, Pico das Agulhas Negras

This peak "gained" a few meters when measured using GPS in 2004. The correct altitude is 2,791.55, and I've updated the article. I can't find for sure what the correct rank is, the measurement continues. The site I used to verify is www.ibge.gov.br, Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estastística. [edit] Brazil Highest Mountains Project

There is a project called "Pontos Culminantes do Brasil" developed by IME and IBGE.

The rank is not third, it is at least fifth, but according to what is said in pt-Wikipedia about this project it is 8th. You can check pt:Projeto Pontos Culminantes do Brasil, but it's better look its references.
