Piccomolo Ice Cream

Piccomolo Ice Cream is a chain of ice cream stores in the United States, specializing in gelato and other Italian frozen desserts.
All Piccomolo stores feature an upscale interior with free wireless internet for their customers. The name comes from conjoining the Italian words "piccolo" meaning small and "molle" meaning soft. There are currently 23 stores in 5 states. The company's headquarters are located in Irving, Texas.

Piccomolo was founded in 2002 by Kevin Lee and fellow graduates from the University of Texas at Austin. The company opened its first franchise store in May 2003 in Dallas, TX.

Piccomolo gelato is made in store from all natural ingredients, contains no preservatives or artificial flavoring, and is lower in calories, fat, sugar and carbs than regular American ice cream. A 100g serving of Piccomolo gelato has an average of 159 calories and 5.6 grams of fat,[1] while Cold Stone Creamery's Founder's Favorite has 1,740 calories and 48 grams of fat, including 4 grams of trans fat.[2]
