[edit] Summary

Newspaper image From 1913. James (Big Jim) Larkin 21 January 1874–30 January 1947), an Irish trade union leader and socialist activist. He moved to Ireland in 1907, where he founded the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union, the Irish Labour Party, and later the Workers' Union of Ireland. Perhaps best known for his role in the 1913 Dublin Lockout, "Big Jim" continues to occupy a significant place in the collective memory of Dublin. I would contend that the use of this low-resolution copy of a historical photo which would illustrate the article on the event the photo depicts conforms with wikipedia fair-use rules. That there is no opportunity which now exists to prepare a free version. Domer48
