Pia Guerra is an award winning American comic book artist best known for her work as co-creator and lead penciller on the Vertigo title Y: The Last Man.[1] She has been nominated multiple times for the Eisner Awards and has won Outstanding Comic Book Artist for 2006 at the Joe Shuster Awards.[2] Although she has been working on various independent titles since the mid-1990's, Y: The Last Man is known as her "big break" in the comics industry.[3] She currently resides in Vancouver, Canada and is married to comic book author Ian Boothby (Simpsons Comics).[4]
Her next project will be a comic based on Sci-Fi show Doctor Who called Doctor Who: The Forgotten featuring the Tenth Doctor. Published by IDW Publishing, it is written by UK writer Tony Lee.
