Founded in 1961 by Dr. David D. Palmer and students at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Pi Kappa Chi is a professional fraternity that elevates, promotes and strengthens the reputation of the Doctor of Chiropractic and the chiropractic profession in the world. The organization is progressive in approaching the philosophy, art and science of chiropractic, allowing members to understand the full potential of the profession rather than just one segment. It emphasizes quality academics, involvement in issues concerning the chiropractic community and social activities.

"To promote the science, art, and philosophy of Chiropractic. To promote professional Chiropractic ethics. To promote and maintain good fellowship and brotherhood. To establish a deeper professional interest among Chiropractors. To join together students and practitioners of Chiropractic. To form through association with other chapters of this Fraternity, a closer bond between students and practitioners of other recognized Chiropractic schools."
